The American company Van Drunen Farms USA specializes in freeze-drying fruit and vegetable products.
In special vacuum chambers, by heating all water from deep-frozen fruit and vegetable products is evaporated (sublimation), which precipitates as ice on the very cold condenser plates located in the same room.
In close collaboration with Van Drunen, Mosman has engineered for the best and most efficient design of the complex installation for this process. Special "heat-carts" have been designed for heating, and the condenser plates have been designed in such a way that a very large area is realized in the limited space available in the vacuum chambers.
The installation supplied by Mosman in America (several vacuum chambers) has been in full use for several years, which has led to a follow-up order for Van Drunen Farms Europe (Serbia).
